Portofino Bed by Ironwork by Barel is a modern Italian bed ideal for every interior, and it is a perfect combination of design and comfort. Portofino is part of the Volarte project of Elio Garis for Barel. “The Volarte collection is a system. A system based on a simple but involving concept: pieces combined to create the features of a bed, of a table, and of all those elements which are growing in our workshop and which will be included in our collections. Volarte means to recycle a dimension and let it be more active: a person relishes the chance to build, to create following his own thoughts, his own preferences. Technical Information
Structure made of tubes with details in forged solid iron (solid tube curved by hand and tube flaring made by hand); chromed elements; wooden elements. Padded headboard available in various colors. Mattress support system always INCLUDED (wooden ledge on a dedicated structure which replace the combination bed frame and bed base, giving a new dimension of lightness and modernity to the bed. It is made of birch plywood). Suggested mattress dimensions: Suggested mattress dimensions: Queen 60x80’’; King 76x80’’. Mattress NOT included. All the elements of the structure can be customized with solid iron tubes with various dimensions and finishes (e.i.:lateral tubes in wood, in varnished iron, chromed and bright or satin brass).
