Corbulas Backlit Panel by Lithea. In Sardinia's Campidano plains
Corbulas Backlit Panel by Lithea. In Sardinia's Campidano plains, the deep and wide baskets known as Corbulas were traditionally used to measure and carry flour on women's heads. Crafted by intertwining hay and cane fibers, adorned with colorful brocade and wool inserts featuring geometric or local flora and fauna designs, these baskets once adorned farmers' homes by hanging in groups on walls. This project focuses on the intricate bottom section of the basket, enhanced with a striking halo of light, highlighting its elaborate craftsmanship.

Lithea

LITHEA is a company which cultivates experimentation and promotes fine Italian craftsmanship, simultaneously employing logical planning and production techniques. The company uses computerized systems for the first stages of manufacturing, the stone being hand crafted by specialist stone masons only once this initial treatment has been carried out. Thanks to LITHEA’s design, stone is transformed into sensitive forms giving life to communicative texture and furnishings with strong personality and absolute uniqueness.
