Roma 1937 Desk by AB 1926 Berdondini in a modern Italian writing desk with eight drawers and two shelves on the back, with shapes that recall the design of the monumental Italian rationalism. Roma 1937 Desk is part of the “Novecento Collection”. The stylistic reference for this Berdondini’s project (project of 1941) is what historians call “the stately Novecento”, an “allure” interpolating the rationalist lesson with the proposal of symbolic ancient models. The furniture typologies on show in this collection follow the path taken by the research in that period in order to “modernize” tastes in home interiors. To complete the décor of the room, it is possible to match Roma 1937 with other pieces from the Berdondini’s collection.
