Cerchi Bed by Ironwork by Barel is a modern Italian bed. “Threadlike and sharp figures pass through the universe offering to the empty a proper form. The plans gracefully almost touch and delimit evanescent portions of space; thin but definite surfaces get consistent in comparison to the surrounding environment and the light, playing with the alternation of presence and absence of matter, becomes the protagonist of an ethereal scene. Colorful planes interrupt the composition’s linear and harmonic rhythm and collect in nerve centers the energy that runs through the space figures. Sophistication and determination characterize the collection Filodiferro I designed for Barel, a poetic work that delicately accommodates the different shades of the human soul; a symbolic work whose content is able to generate otherworldly dimensions, in which to rediscover the original harmony which orders the universe.” – Simone Micheli
