Francesco Rota

Francesco Rota, an interior and product designer, was born in 1966 in Milan where he currently lives and works. After graduating in industrial design from the Art Center College of Design in La Tour de Peilz (Switzerland), he opened his own studio in 1998, working on projects in different fields of design: products, furniture, lighting, showrooms, offices, private homes and exhibitions. He was awarded two Compasso d'Oro honorable mentions for his "Linea" and "Island" products. Since May 2004, he has been teaching at the European Institute of Design, and in 2013 he became the art director of lapalma.
