Aldo Cibic

Born in Schio, Vicenza in 1955, Aldo Cibic moved to Milan in 1977 to work with Ettore Sottsass, and subsequently became his business partner in 1980. One of the designers and founders of the Memphis collection launched in 1981, in 1989 he decided to follow his own path and established the design studio Cibic&Partners, opening the door to research activities with design academies. He currently devotes the majority of his time to architectural and large-scale interior design projects in Milan, and to the Cibic Workshop in Vicenza, where he focuses on design and research activities aimed at developing new design methods in the field of social innovation. He is also an honorary professor at the Tongji University in Shanghai.
